Unravelling Technologies in e Mobility

I am pleased to inform you that, the Technology Division of CII is organizing EV Connect on 10^th March 2023 at Hotel Feathers, Chennai. Government of India’s prestigious “Make in India” program concept is now the cornerstone of the EV policy. Hence it is necessary to understand what needs to be done to best leverage our potential to harness the huge opportunities in the EV sector.

 

The original equipment makers (OEMs) in the automotive industry usually have a strong and long-running relationship with critical module suppliers. However, EV parts are a new area for both OEM and suppliers, fraught with risks but also opportunities. It is critical for EV makers to find and qualify new, alternative suppliers to partner with and develop new competencies needed for EVs. This will ensure long-term supply, provide room to gain more capacity and minimize supplier risks. Achieving this would require OEMs to tap into and leverage reliable supplier data across product development and supply chain processes with the help of supply chain and procurement technology and strategy providers.

 

In this context, CII is intended to provide a platform for bringing together leading OEMs, Component Manufactures, Technology Providers and MSMEs and promoting long term supply relationships between them and to take advantage of opportunities in the sustainable mobility sector. This conference aims to help stakeholders understand how to effectively synergise our strengths and capabilities for a prospective growth in vehicle manufacturing segment to achieve indigenization in the EV sector.
